We got a Hot Hand USB MIDI controller sent to the office by Source Audio. It’s a wireless motion sensor you put on like a ring that can then control parameters via MIDI.
Of course I had to give it a try with some acid tweaking! Here I’m controlling filter frequency, noise level and phase on a Subtractor with my hand. It looks a bit silly but it’s pretty damn cool!
Before we arrived at the flat style of the Figure you might have in your pocket today, we did some experiments with materials and surfaces. We knew this wasn’t were we wanted to go, but we had to. Just like standing really near a cliff edge.
Here it is, in all its glass, leather and brushed metalness!
