Would you like some Vuvuzela on that?

So World Cup fever has apparently reached the US this time – probably partly because of the US team's victories. Us Swedes are feeling a little left out this time since the Swedish team didn't even qualify!

So what does this has to do with anything even remotely related to Propellerhead. Not a lot to be honest, but I just had to share this with you: The good people at YouTube have apparently also been struck by the World Cup fever and added an optional Vuvuzela sountrack to *any* YouTube video. Yes! Go and check out the latest micro tutorial and hit the little football icon in the player and all that we have to say about Dr Octo Rex will be drowned among the angry hornet noise of furiously playing Vuvuzelas. Nice touch.

(You have to go to YouTube to try this. It doesn't work on the embedded players we have here on our site.)

I think it's meant to cancel out the vuvuzela noise from the world cup videos, bu it doesn't seem to work very well...

I ended up grabbing a sample of the vuvuzela cacophony and plugged it into NN-XT, set loop points and voila! A wicked superdetuned supersaw replacement!

Now, someone just needs to create a Thor preset that duplicates the vuvuzela sound.
