Soundcells started working on this ReFill late 2008. "Digital Genome" slowly matured towards the final form in which it is now:

In modern molecular biology, the genome is the entirety of an organism's hereditary information. It is encoded either in DNA or in case of this fine ReFill it's the AMIGA1200 encoded in Reason's NNXT samples. The AMIGA1200 (code-named ‘Channel Z‘) with it's 8-bit Paula chip was extremely popular among producers all over the world in the early nineties. Using a specific trick it was possible to make recordings at 14-bit. "Digital Genome" picks up the thread where Soundcells left with "bitBUMPER deluxe" with it's funky, housy and spacy lo-fi character! Warm, gritty, sleezy, dangerous and nostalgic are the keywords. This ReFill can be used as a full workstation since everything the old Amiga had to offer is in there: basses, keys, lead synths, warm pads and enough drums and percussion to eat your heart out. And do not forget the wonderful FX section - check the mp3 demos to convince yourself. The 150+ Genome combinators are conveniently built up with the right button functionality.

In that spirit, we've created a library solely from errors. Some of them completely accidental, some where we just looked the other way whilst the accident happened. But all of them stem from a willful ignorance of instruction manuals and correct operating procedures. Home movie soundtracks mangled with the wrong converters, musical toys tortured into revealing hidden sonic secrets and computer hard drives dying noisily, all of the sounds in this library started out life as errors. Some of them have been further treated with a mixture of carefully applied computer processing and traditional studio techniques, some left as nature (never) intended.

REVOLVER is an analogue synth refill and multisample library from PinkNoise Studio, based on the sounds of DSI Evolver keyboard. 1985 is the first offering from 3rd Floor Sound and begins the Historical Refill Series, a set of refills based on the instruments used to get to the top of the charts over the last 30 years.

People are always searching for instruments used in a particular song and asking how to reproduce them. The idea behind this refill was to create a solid library of sequenced patches for a variety of genres, which are not just very playable, but can quickly inspire new tunes, allow for very live tweaking and to use as building blocks for all types of rhythmic based music. It contains a wide sound palette including sounds for minimal, techno, progressive, breaks, trance, ambient, psy, house, electro, downbeat and many other styles.

"Boost 309 V2" is based on the complete sample set of the vintage, lo-fi but charmingly sounding machine Rave-o-lution 309 by a company named Quasimidi. When Thor first saw the light of day Soundcells couldn't resist to test his strength by comparing him to a well known classic from Moog: the Source. Welcome to The Urbano Lounge, the second downloadable sound pack from Percussa, designed for Propellerheads Reason 4 and AudioCubes.
