Propellerhead Newsletter

Dear Reason user,

We are writing to tell you about a planned upgrade to all our internet servers.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday January 10th 2012 we are upgrading to new server hardware and this will shut down all our servers for a few hours. Here is the start time in select time zones:

Australia: 7PM

Tokyo: 5PM

Moscow: 12 Noon

Sweden: 9AM

London: 8AM

New York: 3AM

California: 12 Midnight

The downtime is expected to last about two hours and during this time, it will not be possible to use the Internet Verification option when launching Reason. If your license is already on your Ignition Key, then this downtime will not affect you at all. If you haven't added your Reason license to your Ignition Key, now would be a great time to do it.

How to add a Reason license to your Ignition Key:

1. First, connect your Ignition Key to a USB port on your computer, and launch Authorizer. Authorizer is an application installed with Reason. You'll find it in your Applications folder (Mac) or Start Menu > All Programs > Propellerhead > Authorizer (Windows).

2. Click the "Launch browser" button in Authorizer and you will be re-directed to your user account page on www.propellerheads.se where you may be prompted for username and password.

3. Next to each product license, you'll find a "Manage license" link. Click this for your current Reason license (RNS600… or RSN500…)

4. On the next page, click the Authorize button to add the license to your key.

There is a video on how to register Record, but the process is exactly the same:

And finally - this upgrade is for maintenance only. No fancy product announcement is coming. Sorry! :-)
