I’m an owner of Reason 1-6.5 or Record, what happens if I buy Balance with Reason Essentials?
People who own Reason, Record or both will get an upgrade to Reason 7 for free when they buy Balance! You also get to keep your Reason Essentials license – you can even transfer it to a music-making friend if you want!
I already have an Ignition Key, what happens when I buy Balance? Can my license be authorized on both the Ignition Key and Balance?
Yes, it can! You can authorize a license on both your Ignition Key and Balance. However, please note that you still can’t authorize a license on two Ignition Keys or two Balance units.
I’m getting audio dropouts and/or stutter when using Balance with my PC
First of all, make sure you are not connecting Balance through a USB hub, it has to be connected directly to your PC. Also try moving the Balance unit to another USB port. Sometimes some of the ports are connected through a hub internally. If you connected it through a USB port on the front, try the ports on the back and vice versa. (This also goes for left/right on a laptop.) Read more…

USB connection problems on Windows
Some users have reported that Balance doesn’t work in their USB 3.0 ports. Try switch to one of the USB 2.0 -ports instead, you usually have both. If you at first don’t insert the USB cable firmly enough, and then adjust it, Windows and Mac OS might believe it’s a USB 1.0-device you have connected. The LED.s on Balance will then blink, and Windows will let you know it’s a “low speed device”. If that happens, unplug the cable just to plug it back in (firmly, this time).
Can I use Balance with iTunes/MediaPlayer etc?
Yes you can! Please not though that if you’re using Windows Vista, all audio from WIndows that is passed on to Balance may play back at the wrong speed if you’ve set different sample rates in the ASIO-client (Reason, or any other audio application) and the Windows audio settings. The workaround is to set Windows to use the same sample rate Reason does. This problem doesn’t occur if no ASIO client is open. Read more…
