SpyCam May 2003 - the spring of Reload and Reason 2.5

Ok, maybe calling this the May issue is stretching the truth a bit, but we're hoping to be able to squeeze in a short June SpyCam later this month, so we have to call this the May SpyCam, ok? Here's the short version of what we've been up to lately:

The first thing that happened, was the release of Reload. This is a photo of the celebratory cake and coffee and though people may not look very festive - don't be fooled!

Just look at how happy Ernst is!

And Solis is even happier!

Jonas - one of the masterminds behind Reload - on the other hand, looks mostly surprised. Maybe because he can't believe Reload is finally finished, maybe because he was given close to no warning before this picture was taken.

Once Reload was released, the efforts to finish Reason 2.5 were intensified. Solis takes a good, long look at some of the new graphics that Alex (to the left) has created for the new devices.

Finally, the big day! Johan hands over the golden master to the friendly cabdriver who will whisk it away to the CD factory.

The release of 2.5 called for a party! Here are two very special guests; to the left - our new financial officer Maria (not to be confused with our old financial officer Maria) and Dodo from the German popellerheaquarters, who came all the way from Heidelberg just to join the party.

Good food, drinks and good music, what more do you need? Honorary propellerhead Stefan was one of the DJs for the night. Note the new shades and the mullet!

Ok, the last caption should have read "what more do you need than good food, drinks, good music and an X-box". Marcus gets a lot of useful gaming tips from Viggo - the youngest in the Nathorst-Böös clan.

We've had our fair share of difficulties with our computers this spring. If you look closely, you can see two troublemakers in the process of being gutted by Micke.

Notice the black screen? See the spirit of defeat soaring through David? One day, Tages PC just didn't feel like working any more and it was rather stubborn for a long, long time. All is well now, though.

In the meantime, Tage daydreams about what it would be like to have a tablet PC.

Did you check out the February SpyCam? If so, you may recall that it was a headwear edition and that it started with Stoffe trying to set a good example for the rest of us, fashion wise. I don't know if this is something that should have been included in the headwear edition, or if this is something we should all consider wearing this summer?

Big news that drew a big crowd. David and Klara (who's company Mellow has helped build large parts of the Propellerhead website) brought in their firstborn for all to admire. Lots of "ooh"s and "aah"s could be heard.

The proud mother and the still unnamed little girl.
