A proper sound visualization rack device

«[...] any waveform can be represented either as a wave whose amplitude is plotted against time or as a series of components whose amplitudes are plotted against frequency. [...]» in DISCOVERING REASON - Part 34 - Intro to filters

Please, give us a proper sound visualization rack device.

One could use the audio scope to show CV values converted through Thor, but... a proper CV graph vs time would be cool too.

PS: I know this is yet another post about this, but I'm a bit tired of reviving old threads... maybe quantity over quality of posts will do the trick this time :D

Good thinking. I'll start another 'MIDI-out for Record' campaign thread immediately ;)

uh... hey, wait!!! I wasn't endorsing SPAM!!! :D

YES. Me want realtime spectral view. and waveform. also to be able to process a clip for spectral histogram.

...time in musical subdivisions based on current tempo at song position pointer ;)

Exactly! :D

a long time ago, i had recommended a specialized LFO device... and a corresponding CV quantizer...

the LFO would be HIGHLY programmable... and would be capable of things the LFO's in the synths could never do...

but i think maybe the Thor's step sequencer can do SOME of this...

but the quantizer would be excellent... it could quantize CVs to musical notes.. scales... keys... etc... THAT would be AWESOME! Could get some wicked-beautiful creations out of 'chaos'

spider some LFOs together and run them through a quantizer... MMMM yummy...

to help refine the chaos ;)
