Feature Request voting system
A simple way to guage levels of interest for proposed features would be to implement a feature request voting system. Two examples of this in action are the Synthedit FR voting thread and Cockos FR subforum.
The more votes specific requests get, the more commercial sense it makes to spend time realising them.
This kind of implementation would win over stalwarts like myself and attract more custom in general from the friends of satisfied customers.
As new features are always a direct response to requests, it appears to be a system that both the developers and their userbase appreciate. Reading the Cockos forum, it is not unusual for posts of praise to be added everytime a new user is stunned by the speed at which Reaper progresses. :)
I have a crude design for this..
Don't think features should get "voted in". The product is not a democracy but gauging interest from disjointed forum posts is a joke.
Wait, did you just say you're a stalwart? Aren't you boycotting or something?
