MIDI machine control? How do you mean?

The term was new to me and this is a good one paragraph description: http://electronicmusic.wikia.com/wiki/MIDI_machine_control . It’s part of the MIDI standard specs: http://www.midi.org/techspecs/midispec.php .

I'd not heard of that myself. You learn something new every day ;) Cheers, clarktw.

I guess then what this chap is asking for is essentially a MIDI-output?! :)

It’s interesting. The description I linked says in part: “.. Unfortunately, MMC has not been widely adopted; some devices which would benefit from it use Continuous Controller messages instead ..” and has the link describing CC coding, which I suppose is what we have in R+R. I guess that would make MIDI Machine Control a MIDI-In rather than MIDI-Out, but one of these days the twain shall meet.

+1 the Novation Impulse keyboards need this to function correctly without loading their quirky bloatware - or have a way to ignore or learn the second "cc" when using [loop] or [record].
