Peff Midi Out + Analog Solutions CV 2 Midi converter = Midi Out for PC/Mac

We have

1. Peff midi out RNS
2. MaxMSP 5, or standalone M0XR.app on mac
3. Soundflower virtual cables

now we can use it for sync Reason and hardware synths..

Can we change MaxMSP applictation to hardware converter? YES!!!

I find Analog Solution CVM CV to Midi Converter

http://www.noisebug.net/site/images/...ions/ascvm.jpg

Now we can connect there CV and Gate cables from Reason 3/4 channels
From this converter we connect Midi Out to Midi In of our soundmodule.

And now we can work without any additional software on PC/Mac, using Reason, multichannel soundcard and CV2Midi Converter by Analogue Solutions.

Cool idea. But if I buy that AS module it will be the start of a slippery slope into the World of modular synthesis!!

Ingenious, but too cumbersome for me. I'd rather keep using Live 8.

@ peff ... just make a good tutorial with it...actually tutorials by device will be cool ... I'm lost with thor, I like it, but...well sometimes I feel like Dr.Gadget

if you on the Mac, you can download standalone m0xr.app
in zip archive big tutorial. Its easy.
Open RNS from peff.com or find in internet other modificated rns, and you need only open this RNS, select thor track in sequencer, and write midi notes for you soundmodule

this converter can help you work without any software as Moxr max Msp..

now i search more beauty converter

Good stuff ;) But I think the problem might be getting the CV from Reason to that box. Peff uses a MOTU audio interface, which has DC coupled audio outputs that can carry the CV signals. Most audio interfaces can't do that unfortunately.

Plus we're still only talking about monophonic midi out. Stuff like chords wouldn't work, correct?

That's correct, but it's better than a poke in the eye ;)

I quite like these ingenious work arounds ...... if they work! There are some MIDI-out workarounds out there but one requires Reaper, another a hugely expensive audio interface, another a Mac (unless some genius out there has managed to get the PC version working), another the exporting of MIDI parts, which kind of defeats the point but is an ingenious solution none the less ..... not that I managed to get that working either!! :(

midi out

Another way is to use Expert sleepers ES-3 to get cv/gate out from reason, THEN, use e.g. Analogue solutions cv-to-midi converter to connect the cv/gate out from ES-3, Result= midi out from Reason. (some latency but nevertheless...)
