"Access denied" The operation could not be completed because the device denied access

Guys, could you please help me out in this one:
I've just installed Reason adapted 3.0.5, i a brand new installation of Lion and PTools9HD. When registering and activating , with my own serial number (checked in my account) it gives this message:
"Access denied"
The operation could not be completed because the device denied access.

Could you guys give me a clue of solution?!

Thanks
viriatix

Have you checked Props Lion Compatibility Statement page?

http://www.propellerheads.se/support...icle=lion-info

You may need to upgrade your hardware driver(s).

Same issue.

I'm having the same issue with a new install of Lion and Reason Adapted. Did this ever get figured out?

monkeytrix 2011-10-20 08:10

me too, today, new install of Lion 10.7.2 and Reason 6. Iv'e tried everything I can think of.

monkeytrix 2011-10-20 08:21

Hooray!

Oops, just fixed it!
it's something to do with (or in) the "Propellerhead Software" application support folder in the user library.
(the now hidden in lion home folder library (go to the "go" menu in the finder while holding down the option key to get there))

it's probably the "remote" folder?
I'll do some experimenting.
i just removed it to the desktop temporarily (need to enter pass)and reason opened up fine and am now rebuilding necessities (library prefs) manually
let me know if you need a better explanation
Funny, I already tried repairing permissions on that folder, something must have changed

Gotta Play Now

Hi Monkeytrix, can you explain any more? I've tried moving the remote folder to my desktop and still get the error. Also I've notice I have 2 Application Support folder (one is /Library/Application Support/, the other is /Users/<my_user_name>/Library/Application Support/) - they both seem like copies of the same thing. And I've tried removing the Remote folder and entire folders, and no matter what I try I keep getting the same error...

thanks!

Any updates on getting this to work with PTv9 & Lion?

I have the same issue.

I have PT 10 and Reason Adapted 3.0.5

I have reinstalled on a new computer, and when I put in my license key it fails and says ""Access denied"
The operation could not be completed because the device denied access."

I have deleted the application support folders, but still get the same issue

I have had this same issue... This is how I fixed mine...

1. Close Reason
2. Go to /user/library/Preferences
3. Deleted both the Reason preferences & se.propellerheads.reason.plist files
4. Launch Reason.
