Rename Session

Don't know if anyone suggested this but Props should have a Re-Name Session selection in one of the pulldown lists. Preferably where the Save As selection is. When you don't really have the final name for a track you're working on, you should have the option to re-name it with or without Reason making a new session file. Sometimes I make tracks and name them but if lyrics and melody are written to it, the tracks takes on a new identity and probably a new name. So when I re-name it, it makes a new session file. Now you have the original and the new one. Just a thought.

So, instead of "Cntrl-Shift-S > type new name > OK"

You're suggesting, say, "Alt-Shift R > type new name > OK"?

oookaaay.

"Save As" creates a new session file, so you wind up with the original named track and the newly named track. I'm talking about having the option to re-name a track without a new session file being made.
Example: You make a track and at the end of your session name it "Hard To Let Go". Your friend writes some lyrics and adds vocals to the original track the next day. The song she wrote to the track and the hook is titled "All Alone Again" When you save as "All Alone Again" you're gonna' have that and the original "Hard To Let Go" file. You should be able to just change the name, sort of like an edit. No new file if you choose that option. It should say "Re-Name" and be programmed to not create a new file. "Saves As" can remain as is. If we do have this feature already and I missed something, someone enlighten me please.

I agree that this stuff should be doable in the browser, but you do realize you can just find the file on your computer and RENAME it? Right? Why on earth would you "save as" when you can just change the filename.

Again, it should be doable in the browser, but I don't understand why you can't do it the way I suggested...
