R6 midi recording latency?

I am getting a weird latency delay when I record midi into reason 6? Any ideas at all it really effects my performance when trying to record midi data into reason???

mac osx 10.7

8 gigs ram

2.66 i7

It should not be doing this?

let me ask this another way.

Is anyone NOT having this issue? thanks.

No one? Anyone? Am I the only person with this problem? It is pretty bad considering my system and how fast it should be...

Depends of your midi controller & how it set...

What are your audio settings and the reported latency?

Is your controller sending a lot of information? I know that if I use the internal arpeggiator on the MPK61, at very high tempos it will overload the MIDI input (I'm sure there's a more technical term for that, but I don't know much about MIDI).

Use ASIO4ALL .. problem solved .. even without an Audio Interface or asio drivers

wait, you already have a Mac Audio Core. how many other programs are running ? latency can sometimes be caused by cycling all your rams buffer. other than that, make sure your utlizing proper buffer settings on your audio driver and that they match that of Reason.

This seems to be a problem with multiple users. Not sure if there is some sort of bug, but scrolling is very slow and laggy. Recording input even from querty keyboard has an unexpected latency. I am running a dual core with 8 gigs of ram ox 10.7. These issues should not exist.
