Atari Classic

Hi,

I would really like to re-imagine this classic from my youth. An Atari ST game called Thrust. The music is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erwWdKIikYU

I'd really appreciate some assistance from those in the know on how to replicate some of the signiture sounds using the Reason palette. Particularly the stuttering synth and the bend of, I think, the same synth across an octave or so.

Cheers for any help!

Hey dude,
Your looking for chip type sounds. Download something called MilkyTracker. This will definately give you the cheap 8-bit sound your looking for. Trackers are a little weird to use.
If you want to do this in Reason, use basic unfiltered saw settings on the subtractor and the glitch kits in redrum.

I agree with Iron. If you want a refill with a lot of those types of sounds check out Digital Genome. All the sounds are from an Amiga 1200. I have the refill and its really, really cool. Especially for those digital sounding drums.

Here's the link: http://www.soundcells.de/refill_genome.html

I forgot all about this post and potential project. I'd like to do something in the future to share this particular bit of nostalgia with my brother.

Thanks for your replies!
