Alesis qx61 and control mapping or changing the computer keyboard shortcuts

A few questions:

#1) How do I assign the transport controls on the qx61 to work in Reason 6.5. When i go the the 'keyboard control edit mode, it doesn't detect the buttons when they're pressed. I did notice that Reason didn't have an option for that device when i was trying to assign control surfaces. is this something that they're looking into? I had to use another alexis device (the Photon x25 or something like that). any ideas?

#2) is there a way to change the keyboard shortcuts? this is driving me insane. I use sooo many daws at the moment. I usually just make them all work the same way. I have a mac book pro so half of the transport controls don't even work any more (mainly the reason why i'm trying to get the transport controls going on the controller keyboard).

Cheers and thanks

Lo man, I joined up just to tell you how to get this fixed..
Go to the transport button in reason and right click.
Select
"Edit Remote overide mapping"
Click "learn from Control Surface input"
then press the appropriate button on the keyboard
Voila, transport controls. Have to assign them one at a time.

Selecting controls for the synths was more of an issue, have to change the CC the QX sends out in order to select different things. I wanted to use the four pads to control kick, snare and hihats.. so I picked four underused CC's from the reason documentation and assigned one to each of the pads, then linked them using "options", and "Remote overide Edit Mode". works a treat now, even if I'm playing a synth it still trigers the drums... sweet!

Hope this helps some people , as this forum was #1 google hit searching "Reason Map QX61"

Is there an additional step involved? because when I right-click on "PLAY" and enter into Edit Remote Override Mapping it does not recognize me pushing the PLAY BUTTON on the Alesis QX61. I even made sure that the "Learn from" box is checked. No Go.

Alesia QX Config for Reason Document

I actually put together a document to get everything working correctly after much time with tech support and working on my own to figure some things out. I posted it in this thread.
