Yeah you need a Josh Mobley.

MayorMcCheese 2012-08-23 21:08

And to add to pushedbutton’s excellent suggestion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J9in1JgigU . Might not be what you’re looking for as far as being a ReFill or a .wav or a .midi file, but it is fun to kick butt on the keyboard the way that Josh/neoverse is doing. Tell me what a “kb man” is and maybe there’s something handy.

Well, I’ll be darn: it’s true you learn something new every day. I play/beat-the-crap-out-of a semi-weighted velocity sensitive KB!

robint 2012-08-24 11:22

Yes thats what I understand as a drum solo, nothing repetitive about it

The other stuff with JM is just pissing about and would be booed off a live stage - wouldnt it?

So does anyone know of a DAWman who can approach that style of drumming?

When I get my kit fully running I want to explore the style of drum gangs where you have say 20 guys banging away in an arrangement (not just haphazardly) - like african and korean drumming

These guys seem to know when and how to sound their drums cooperatively in a changing rhythmic set that can last 15 mins

How is this done? - its not notated? amazing

Due to the video of Buddy Rich, I ended up buying Blues Caravan on itunes. The drum solo on "Blowin' the Blues Away" is incredible. The audio is too.
