Reason 6.5.1 not opening up on my mac anymore?

I tried opening my reason application on my macbook pro, I'm running version 10.7.4 and I've never had a problem with it until today. All the sudden it freezes at the load up screen.
I have not a clue what's going on.
How can I get my reason up and running again.
I reinstalled the program restated the computer and all I just dont know what happened.

Did you delete the app by just dragging it into the trash bin or did you use an app cleaner?
if it´s the 1st one then there could be files left behind from the original installation which prevent you
launching Reason correctly. e.g. botched files...etc.
Download this app http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/ and de-install Reason w/ it.
Just make sure all your projects and refills are in a save place. If necessary copy these and store them
on another HDD.
Best solution is to download a fresh copy of R 6.5.1 from the Props´server as well (just to make sure).
Hope this will help you.
Good luck.

I always follow these steps when I encounter issues with Reason or other program.
I try first to delete the Icon on the DOC and put one fresh from the App folder.

If that doesn't fix the issue, I try the Repair Disk Permission

if the problem persist, I do a resetting of the PRAM or SMC.

If all the above steps doesn't work, then I uninstall/installed Reason.

Good luck

Resetting PRAM and SMC are measures if your computer isn´t working properly anymore,
not something you do perform if an application isn´t launching/working anymore.
Un/re-installing an application is by far a less drastic measure.

See here:
- SMC
- PRAM

I tried it yesterday morning but that didnt work.
So I took it to the apple store to test my mac book pro,
my computer was fine but reason was still acting up for
some crazy reason.
I called Line 6 Reason Tech Support Line and they asked
me for the crash report, a guy at the genius bar said it
was a Midi Issue with the crash and the crash report said
:hang.
So we tested a Genius Bar External Drive to install and run it
off of and that worked perfectly.
So we tried all the steps and procedures that line 6 support
instructed us to do and none of it worked.
So We took off OS X 10.7 Lion and Installed Snow Leopard on
it and worked perfect, But that led to another issue with a different
app. My elgato gamecapture HD was not compatible with Snow Leopard.
I was pissed, so Im going back to apple to get Lion 10.7 put back on
today. Let's just hope that Reason 6.5.1 will co opereate today with 10.7.

But thanks guys for your concerns
