Two features I really miss: Denoiser and multiband compressor

As the title say. Unless I suffer from acute blindness there doesn't seem to be any denoiser or multiband compressor in Reason (or in the shop). I don't know which one I miss the most, but I sure miss both. A few days ago I could've really used a multiband compressor and today I've been desperately trying to find a denoiser to fix a wav-file that could've been recorded better...

Any takers? ;)

Oh, and a de-esser could probably be useful too...

Theres mutiple multiband compressor settings in the Mastering folder created with stereo imagers and compressors with crossover frequencies. I think there is a 4 band and an 8 band combinator patch. Obviously not jut for mastering but they are in the mastering folder.

Oh, my bad. Never thought of loading a whole new setup like that, only looked for a module. Guess I could build a de-esser the same way...

Ok, that takes care of that. Denoiser anyone? ;)

there is a de-esser available too.

there's a gate (basically what a denoiser is) on the ssl strip, you could use that to strip away some of the extra noise. Someone also made a combi, haven't tested it myself. http://offwhitenoise.blogspot.com/20...llerheads.html

Na, gate isn't good enough for what I want to do...

Gonna look closer at that mad contraption later though. I doubt it will replace a noisegate, but perhaps I learn a thing or two "despite" that. ;)

markers would be a nice little addition

Multiband splitter: http://shop.propellerheads.se/produc...band-splitter/

Follow that up with any compressor of your choice on each band...

If you want a denoiser an excellent one is izotope rx2. You can run a bounced wave from reason through it in standalone mode and then import back into reason.

I reckon we will see a dedicated multiband compressor as a re soon. Of course a mbcompressor can be configured to act as a de-Esser also.

The bad news is you pretty much have to be a rocket scientist to work a multiband comp properly without screwing up.
