My first song that was 100% done in Reason!
Well, after being an owner of Reason since 2001 and having never completed an entire song in it, I thought I should really complete one this time around. I really like the workflow of Reason 6.5, despite a few CPU issues, and here is my first track 100% completed in Reason. I usually make electronic pop music, but this one is a bit house vs. trance, heck I don't know what style it is but I dig it regardless. :)

PS: The track was inspired by a nice Reason patch I found.

Impressive work, friend. I also listened to "Berlin Sky," which is more my style. Nice production and writing.

Thanks guys! Yeah it was interesting to do an entire song in Reason and I really enjoyed it.

@ryszard, yes the style of "Berlin Sky" is my band and my usual style of music as well. Glad you liked it. :)

It really does sound good :) Nice work! I admire your determination in completing a song after an ownership of Reason for so long!

I feel the exact same way. Love working with Reason and have plenty of ideas, but can't really finish them.

Really nice work Ken! Inspirational Hotness on the track!

Thanks guys, truly appreciated!

Btw, I hope my title wasn't misleading. I've completed many songs, albums and remixes before, but never in Reason. My main DAW is Ableton Live, but I really wanted to do an entire track in Reason since V6.5 with REs was a really inspirational update from the Props I think. I am really getting into the workflow of Reason (even hooked up a 2nd monitor to enhance the workflow even more) and can see why so many people like the software as much as they do.

In the past I've always used it more of a sketchpad than anything and ended up finishing a song in Live. Anyway, I've invested in some REs and think I will do a lot more songs in Reason from now on. Working on music is supposed to be fun and Reason is a lot of fun. :) I like the Reason community too. :)

Thanks again!

Really like it, especially the width of the synths, a lot of people put off by Reason say it sounds too narrow and constricted, I would play this tune to disprove that. Although saying that, did you use anything else to master it?

Very nice!
