Allow Rack Extensions via usb key

Please allow rack extension licenses to work on the usb key so that rack extensions will work on a studio computer that is not connected to the internet. If I put my computer on the internet for even a few minutes it will seriously screw up windows and more--limiting what I can do on that dedicated unit.

Really? I've never had a problem myself.

In what way?

I do agree though - would nice to be able to move REs between machines without having to re-download them - especially with the larger ones.

My laptop is almost always on, and almost always connected to the internet - and I have had ZERO problems (so far).

I have a WiFi router. The public IP address that my ISP assigns is assigned to the router. My PC is assigned a local (192.168.#.#) IP address by the router. The router is a bridge and acts as a firewall.

I'd have to click on something to actually infect my computer.

Can you be specific and elaborate on exactly how being connected to the internet "will seriously screw up windows and more"? If there is something I am missing, I would like to implement preventative measures.

Thanks in advance for your input.
