Not sure if the mood of this remix is supposed to be uplifting or downswinging. The vocals are (in my opinion) leaning towards the downswing, while the beat and the chimes loop is kinda uplifting, it's kinda clashing of "moods" for me.

Thnx for listening and giving some feedback man. I'm glad the track gave you some food for thought. That's what makes music interesting for me :)

Thanks for the feedback! Very much appreciated :) It was pretty hard positioning the vocals. The original song wasn't done to a metronome so the tempo fluctuates quite a bit. I didn't want to stretch them coss it does change the sound so i went oldschool on them and cut them up positioning them on the beat. It is very much an experimental thing as i'm very much used to working the other way around. I might get back to it and do some more things on it. And then indeed in the bassline to get it all a bit more coherent tho i do like the overall sound i got in there :)

Edit: Yeah, the original is a rough production to begin with. She didn't spend alot of time on it and went more for the feeling in the song than to have it sound perfect as we usually do in our songs. Gonna try some things out pitch wise :) Thanks again for the feedback

Opps...lol. I deleted my post because I didn't want to come across like an ass. Anyhoo, I did listen to Rebecca's version and although I think she is very talented and has a great voice, I thought there were times when she sounded slightly off pitch. I think that might actually be what kind of throws the track off for me. Oh well, I least I got to use the word juxtaposition in my original post... ;)

Haha it's a cool word for sure! :D

Think that bassline is pretty damn sweet! The music has a nice mysterious vibe to it.

I agree. She has a lovely voice, but some parts feel detuned. and dave909 is the man, so this isn't a diss. I just try to be accurate for friends. The music is good though.
