Close, a File menu item that shouldn't Exit.

Choosing Close, from the File menu, should not make the whole app Exit. I use Close when I've been experimenting and I want to get rid of everything and start again fresh. So instead of just Closing, I suggest a bit more logic. If the Rack has added Instruments or tracks, just close them and revert to default start. But if the Rack is already empty when Close is used, then it would be OK to Exit.

Assuming you're using the Windows version, I agree. There should be a "main window" or something so that Closing the only open project doesn't make Reason quit, like in the Mac version.

This has been talked about before, it's weird behaviour that hopefully will get fixed.

And this is actually an important workflow thing when copypasting between large projects that require you to close one project first. Now, you have to create a blank document before closing to avoid Reason quitting and losing the clipboard data.

OH man I just had a moment of genius. This would be so freakin easy for Props to do and would solve the issue.

On Windows, when only one song is open, "Close" should close it and create a new one! If you then want to immediately open another song, that new one should automatically close itself, just the same as the "initial song" when you first start Reason and immediately open a song.

If you close THAT song without doing anything else, THEN Reason should quit. Just so ALT+F4 works (almost) as it usually does. You'd just have to tap F4 a couple more times.
