The best way to do sub groups?

Any tips? Spider splitter confuses and scares me lol.
Just tried doing a drum one with kong. Fed a pad into a kick, another into snare and another into hats. Then the direct out into the 14:2 mixer. On the sequencer it only shows the kong and not the individual drums. Just need help with this really, cheers.

Write a sequencer lane with a pencil into the Kong track, then switch back to "arrow" and doubclick on the part that you wrote in... this opens up edit mode, you should see drum 1/drum 2/drum 3 etc. on the left, can use the pencil tool again to write notes for the kong there.

Sub groups have to do with merging audio together into one mixer channel. What your refering to here is creating a new note lane for your kong midi track. Just click on the knog in your seq view then go to edit and click create new note lane. Now you can have different note lanes for your kong. Creating a sub group won't show any midi seperated.
Now for creating a sub group I just use the spider to merge all the audio together instead of a 14:2 line mixer. Either way works so it doesn't really matter, I just like taking up less space.
