Files for Reason 4

Hello Reason Community! :)

I am having some trouble with reason. I am a new producer and have strong passion for dance music. I purchased Reason a few years ago and havent been able to perfect my drums...

I am seeking some rex files that are free for me to dl, from a safe dl source... and could use a lil hand holding to obtain them. I am looking for house music drum kicks and snares, some high hats...

Would anyone be willing to help me obtain some rex loops for house beats and individual drums sets...?

I have downloaded every free patch from the reason website and am unfortunately a very poor single student who's having financial troubles. It would be great to get some files the safe way to continue to express my self through music. I don't like begging but I am desperate to continue and have only come to this community for this. It would be awesome and I am greatful to be here. Can you folks help me get in the right direction?

Thanks
Dathan.

There are loads and loads of professional rex loops for drums and percussion of loads of different genres right in the factory sound bank.

If you have also downloaded every rex loop you can get your hands on on this site also I'd suggest you look into your process of the way you use the sound and any effects/eq/compression you add to them

TY for your response charlycharlzz.

To be honest I have many weakness with drums... Honestly, IDK how much effects is too much for one, for two, I dont even have a proper studio, Im using headphones. :( For three I think my hearing damage has a lil to do with it too.

What I want is to learn to be able to make hard hitting, deep bass kicks... and most of all, how to process them properly when they are grouped together, as in like a double triple or quadruple hit.

For example, my drums usually come from the reason sound bank, then I try to process it so it sounds like a drum kick fro mthe group Kronos Device, or Illektrolab.

This is likely a major issue being Im using real drum samples and wanting them to sound different. I was hoping there was a patch of drums that were natural and synth for free somewhere...

Yes ty for your input. I do need to learn... Cause everything else I do in life, keeps pushing me back to making music. So I have got to learn how to do this correctly. Would you have any good guides or tutorials on youtube you could point me to? :)

TY for this tip! :) I will check it out when I have a job and the funds to pay out for the samples producers work hard to create

I have learn one thing using reason it's that you got to learn mixing the volumes so for this you make your unit the way you whant then turn the line of this unit down and then mix it back into the mix using ssl mixer so it's ;
1) you make the sound the way you whant it to be sounding like in your unit (kong , thor , combinator or whatever.)
2) you mix it in the track adjusting the volumes in the lines
3) you mix it so it sound better using the side fx lanes in the ssl mixer

this way you can start by designing your sounds the way you whant then you play and adjust the volumes and then you mix the mixture to have it hard hit and clean .
if you use kong and join by links let's say a synth kick from kong synths and have it playing with a original SB kick and a tom at the same time you can play with the pitch of one of the sounds to have a lower filling then
adjusting the volume down because all 3 playing along is to loud and only then mix it in kong using themaster fx parts like compressors of kong . I was like you for a will and almost got depress for real but now I can make bomb arsh Drums that blow up blocks down :D the thing is that in reason we learn almost the way dudes did stuff in pro studios but in a computer so it's more hard first but one day you got your own sounds and techniques that none of the vst guys have :)
these guys got a good demo of more then 500mb full of drums http://hiphopcomposer.com
but I tryed to order it from a few shops and it's like they really suck because they did not respond to any demands of order , I could have get it by credit card but to late now they should have be more active then this I got another refill from another brand insted I lost too much time trying to get a few box in Swiss .
