The first place in the ranking is a song made entirely with reason
(According to Mikkas in his tweets and that he is proud).

Hi,

i only heard the sample part you get to listen on beatport. It sounds very nice. I love the skipbeat section in the middle of the sample. Thats very nice, there is one but though. Compression seems al little high at some points and the high ends are a little to high for my taste.

Other then that, top production. And nice its solely reason!

Yes. They did a very polish overcompressed master. :-)

They do better with the productions of kandi and lucky date

The middle part I can live with but the first part made me believe that my new Rokits had blown up. Maybe I'm not down with the kids and distorted trance is the new sound?

Grum.

What I don't understand is how a track that has a driving, heavy electro-house beat when the drums punch in is considered a Trance track? It's Trance without the drums, but not with.

I iz cunfoozd.

this is a new trance subgenre, called nu trance, a kind of progressive trance. listen to tracks by orjan nilsen. he's always just using electro house drums.

Will do indeed. nu Trance will be my place of study for the day :D

the line between genres is totally blurry these days... half of the tracks in the progressive house, electro house and trance top 10 are interchangeable between genres...

these days you hear djs mixing swedish house mafia/kyau & albert/seven lions/alesso in the same set and it works, i honestly don't know what to call trance anymore... can't say if it's a good or bad thing... it's just a thing...

as for Mikkas track, holy cow.. that's impressive, I bet there's some post production involved :p but man it is quite a piece of work :)
