The Learning main theme (revised)

Thanks to all the helpful comments, I did some touching up to this film music for the opening credits (1:44)
and turned it into the Producer last night. He likes it!
So it sounds better to me. How about you guys?

Good to see it evolve.

Nice work, would be good to see the opening credits when they're happy to release it.
Should look nice on your portfolio as well

Its really good, but the sound doesn't have the depth it could.

I'm really not sure what else to do for that since Orkester/Reason soundbank instruments sounds kinda fake and flimsy. I'm trying to get family to get me Miroslav for Christmas since it's on sale for $99

I've added the right amount of reverb without it getting too blurry. That's the best my producer skillz will allow me for now.

Great job Jason. Definitely good soundtrack material.

Ok so I took it to the filmmaker the other night and he listened to it on headphones IN ONE EAR while talking to his girlfriend about Christmas shopping and staring at stockings on the wall. Then he said it sounds like Christmas music! The next day he said he likes it but wants it to be "deeper" and "it sounds too happy, upbeat, and chipper".
This guy knows nothing about music and is terrible at explaining what he means and what changes to make. He is also hard to get ahold of and even though he has a deadline for February, gives practically no time to meet up and discuss this project and comes off to me like he doesn't really even care about his own movie. Anyone ever work with someone like this? Because I am about to tell him to go find another musician. NO ONE I've shown it to has thought it sounds happy at all. The only thing I can think of would be the wind instruments reminding him of some kind of Disney music or something. Maybe the clarinet lead should be electric guitar instead. I'm lost and not doing anything until he learns how to be more professional and descriptive.

Nice job, Jason!

Doesn't sound like Christmas music to me.

I purposely wasn't going to comment on your song, I never comment on a song I dislike but after reading the above I can't help but drop a little post.

You come across as a rank amateur with an attitude (also based on your amp/guitar stomp box vs. EDM artists posts from not too long ago, but this takes the cake).

Your song is "meh" in terms of arrangement and generally unappealing, tough luck.
So the guy didn't jump up in excitement when listening to this (who would) and you now claim he knows nothing about music and needs to be more professional or you'll sit in a corner doing nothing.
Man.

Didn't the fact he outsourced the audiopart ring a bell? Most people who don't create music outsource this part of their project but they are still an audience.
Instead of whining like a little bitch, take your losses and tweak/learn/take the advice in order to get better/meet their expectations.

Way to treat your fellow Propellerheads! I guess you don't mind going on the old ignore list. You're the first person I will have ignored in all these years, by the way... I have never seen such disrespect in here. Nice knowin' ya.
