Why no "partial collapse/hide sections" for REs?

I know this is a known limitation to REs (and has been brought up countless times) and that we may see it in the future. The only information regarding it I have found are some developers simply stating, "When it is possible, we will do it."

Was just curious thinking... If you can collapse fully to the 'pencil' rack device, why is the ability for developers to have devices collapse partially missing? Is there something broken in the code that does not allow it? Is this something Propellerhead just hasn't tackled, yet? The lack of such a basic feature makes the plugin format seem incomplete (at least in the Reason environment).

I'm admittedly ignorant to the SDK, but was wondering if this was indeed a feature not possible or simply a feature not included.

I think it's because they have deadlines and they left it out..... Maybe or maybe not.

These kinds of topics are always invitations for baseless speculation, you know that, right?

I'm aware. Was actually truly curious and was posting to see if anybody had any info in one direction or another. I always do my best to search the forums before a post. I could not find anything solid on this topic and was curious if anyone had a link or information from someone credible. =)

Anyone with SDK access is under NDA and couldn't tell you anyway ;-)

True to some extent. I guess it depends on who says it and what they say. Was just looking for words (probably from Propellerhead) such as, "This is something we're working on..."

I'm sure props are listening to feature requests ;-)

This is something they're working on and expect to see in the near future.

;)

I see I wasn't the only one who was wondering.
