Purchase Balance Alone?

I would love to own Balance, but of course I already own Reason 6.5 and therefore have no need for Reason or Reason Essentials bundled with the device! How can I purchase the hardware without shelling out the extra bucks for included software?

Balance is priced for the cost/value of the hardware.

Essentials is included for free, like many other audio interfaces include a scaled down version of protools or cubase for free.

It can be so confusing. It's understandable since this isn't outlined in the price on the product (it's only been described in this forum).

Also, it's interesting to not the great deal newcomers to Reason get...

Balance w/ the free Essentials is $399

Reason 6.5 is $399

Balance with Reason 6.5 is $549

That's a savings of $250! I'm sure that will add to the confusion as well lol.

Yup

THanks for the clarification guys... I guess I'll have to start pinching those pennies, but I hear Balance is a great product, so again, I am really interested.

Reason Essentials is included free as stated above but if penies are really tight you could sell your existing Reason 6.5 and as long as you get more than the price of the upgrade from the bundled Reason Essentials to Reason 6.5 ($169 RRP) you re in profit ;-)

I am amazed at how often this topic comes up. Sell the copy of essentials and you have now added say a coupon $50 off the purchase price. Kind of like a rebate. At least that is how I see it.
