Divine Sage - Drones (dubstep)

Middle eastern inspired dubstep. Let me know what you think!

Don't know much about dubstep--I can't identify it unless I'm told what it is--but I like this. I could see it running under a movie intro or credits. Nice work with the Middle Eastern motif. The only thing I might change would be to add some sampled Arabic voice, just for variation. Note: If you ever decide to do that, be absolutely certain you know the translation of what you are using. WTTW.

Thanks for the reply! I really do wish I did what you suggested. It ran through my head while I was making it. I was partially nervous due to being unable to translate anything also any copyright issues. If that option was totally available though I would have loved to have done it. It really would have added so much to the song. Thanks so much for the comment :D.

There's a great example during the chase scene in The Fifth Element. Unfortunately it isn't on the OST album; it's the only music in the film not composed by Eric Serra. I found out from a North African friend that the genre is Rai (sp?), sort of like Middle Eastern hip hop, and is popular in the Mediterranean area.

Beautiful and inspirational piece. You've got me going through all my Middle Eastern sounds and rhythms today. Thanks.

I'm liking this track. I prefer actual Dubstep influenced electronic when the melodies are comprehensible and not schizophrenic.

If you like Middle-Eastern style melodies, I have a track on my new album which embraces the Sitar sound: http://anthonymichaelangelo.bandcamp...rack/pump-bump Enjoy!

Big ups on this.

this is cool. I really like the bass stabs around 3.00. Well produced too!

Big Sound ATD ' very powerfull stuff' This is an observation , the Orkestral Big Riff ' which by the way is very Cool' slightly over powers the actual Bass lines movements IMO . all in all tho a freakin great track '
