Be gentle, it's my first time... :)

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum (at least, new to not lurking on the forum...). This is the first time I've put anything up here for folks to listen to, and only one of the few times I've put anything anywhere for people to hear - I'm a bit of a noob lol.

I thought I'd have a stab at a sort of theme tune-ish piece of music - my brief to myself was to write the theme tune for an imaginary political or police TV show.

Feedback gratefully received!

Cheers,

Rich

The background synth could be louder but it sounds great for a first.

Er... do you mean the synth that kicks in halfway through, along with the drums? If so, that's meant to be a lead - which I guess means it DOES need to be louder! :)

Thanks for the feedback :)

The synth that goes up 3 notes right at 25 seconds... Seems quiet to me. Just see if anyone agrees. Don't adjust your track bassed only on my word =)

Listening to it again, I'm tending to agree with you.... :)

I liked it.

melodically I loved it, not sure you did any effect processing on any sounds as they all sound a bit weak, but maybe that's my opinion.

That's a fair shout... my skillset at the moment is more around the "composing" than the "production" so one thing I want to do is get better at making the mix sound good...

Thanks for the feedback :)
