I don't get it.

it took me a while to figure it out - basically the mute/solos are fixed at the bottom instead of the fader/mute/solo as it is now (when you detach the mixer).

I would probably still prefer the current setup which looks like this:

The current approach still puts the mute/solos below the scrolling mixer (but below the panner) almost exactly as devilfish does in the second drawing, and you can still see the channel and master faders and meters (which is the part I prefer). :-)

mhhh...
why the panning ??

i need only a short Solo-listen after adjusting the EQ..

and the fixed faders take to much of work-space...

I get around this "problem" by using my monitor in vertical mode.
My configuration is a 24" 16:10 display with a native resolution of 1920x1200 which in rotated mode is 1200x1920. If I move the Windows taskbar (this surely also works an a mac) onto the left or right side and/or auto hide it and if I disable the control section on the mixer page the whole SSL console fits on my screen - at least vertically:

On a 16:10 display 14 channels are fully visible at a time, on a 16:9 it should still be around 11 or 12.

Just a small tip for those who use a "normal" display and have the possibility to turn it... ;-)
