Automating a delay w/ EQ
I know how to do this easily in pro tools on a send, but wanted to inquire about the easiest way to high pass filter a delay on a synth.. Basically have each delay go back through the EQ effecting it more and more each time. Any tips would be appreciated.. Also are there any good parametric rack extensions that actually offer a full high pass and low pass unlike the mclass EQ?

1: Create 2 mixer channels
2: add in your device to mixer channel 1
3: create an insert effect into channel 2 (being your delay)
4: from channel 1 insert, 'show fx' and chain out the 'to inserts' sockets to your channel 2 strip 'insert' sockets
5: go to mixer desk, you now have your synth on 1 channel, in RAW now effect format, and a second channel which is your effect only. Hi pass using the SSL desk on the delay channel

Alternatively, chain in a send effect to the master section ,namely the Echo, and use the filter section to fade your echo off into ethereal highs or down into the abyss...

Just a couple of options

Also watch out for Red Queen Parametric/Graphic 10 band EQ heading into RE land soon

Thanks for the tips man.. The first one is a good one and I'll give that a shot! Any screen shots of what this EQ is going to look like ;)

The Echo has an external FX chain that breaks the routing so doe exactly what you want right there.

I couldn't find any info on the range of the Red Queen.
Down to the 5 Hz range and up to 30hkHz would be Perfect.

Looking forward.
