Jazz Vocal Album Coming Soon

For anyone interested, I will soon be releasing a collection of original jazz songs, recorded (for the most part) and mixed (completely) in Reason.

I'm taking pre-orders via indiegogo and their "perks" system.

and two youtube vids in case indiegogo is down:

I hope that when this collection is fully mixed and released, it will serve as a good example of Reason's versatility and usefulness in a genre not usually associated with Reason.

A little update: I've posted a video with some sound samples.

Although I don't do much Jazz now, however, it is my roots and where it all started for me.

Thank you so much. This project has been very rewarding and a refreshing change from my heavier music past.

As soon as I'm on my computer tomorrow, I'll check out your links. :)

I'm diggin this preview to the album. I was JUST talking about wishing I had an awesome Lounge/Jazzy voice. This I do not have, but I will always enjoy it.

Panties drop from these voices. Well done.

Thanks, AMA! I have been enjoying singing this material. A lot easier on the old pipes than prog-metal and hard rock.

But also, the writing, arranging, instrumentation... that's been exciting from a different angle, and of course Reason has been incredibly fun as part of that process. I've mentioned in other threads that I love how Reason is letting me just get down to business (in a fun way) without having to overthink anything about the UI.

And being able to mix on a virtual SSL... :D

We'll see how this whole "panties dropping" thing goes. ;)

I got a chance to listen, and you have some great tracks there! I particularly like "That's How Love Is". That great groove makes me want to get up and dance. I also dig the instrumentation and chord movement you have going on.

Oh, and it doesn't hurt that Laura J can really, really sing. :D

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to check out some of my work. I'm not a novice to music and producing, just a novice to forums (of all kind). I wish you the very best with your project, and look forward to hearing more great stuff from you!
