how to split audio track

I have a MIDI source that I use with the Acoustic Grand Piano sound patch.

However, instead of having all of it either in the left, center, or right channel,
I would like to split the track into two, and have both of them evenly
off-center, e.g., one half -32 to the left, the other +32 to the right.

How would I do this?

One way: right-click and > Duplicate Devices and Tracks; then mute one of the two instruments in each track if desired; then pan each one separately as desired.

And then flip and brown lightly on the other side as desired. And welcome to the forums.

Thanks, much appreciated: but what does "...flip and brown lightly" mean?

Sorry - that was just a “joke” from my thinking out loud. With all the “.. as desired ..” in the other post, I felt like I was making breakfast or something.

No problem. Thing is, jargon can be so arbitrary sometimes, I take
seriously / literally every single instruction and presume nothing, e.g.,
in Emacs, when the manual refers to "killing a buffer," it does not mean
taking an axe to the screen.
