Arranging on the fly (Track Mutes Etc)
For the most part I really enjoy to arrange on the fly to keep my tracks sounding fresh with lots of energy and less obvious.
I currently run Reason in 32 bit mode rewired into Ableton to record the stereo mix in real time.
Anyone else work this way?
Care to share your techniques so achieve this?
Any setup tips to make this easier?
donnow if that's your case but I came across an interesting blog post from Kim LaJoie about this topic right yesterday night:
I'd be curious to know your opinion on this blog post..
I also use Live+Reason since years... best rewire combo I've ever tried.
but I usually render the stereo mix at a later stage ... what's done in Live remains in Live and what's done in Reason in Reason ... til the final bounce....
the music I write has always something to say later on .. tweaks, changes, addons (maybe just few midi notes here and there) etc...
I think it's a great way to work and does create very creative pieces. I don't work that way so I have nothing to add. But for pure free-flowing creativity this is great.
you'll probably fined peff's new device quite interesting then
