Editing overlapping notes' velocity

Is it possible to edit velocity of two layered notes separately?
I mean with the pencil tool (without inserting numbers) .. the quick way..

picture this:

I have a kick and a HH note at the same beat but I want to make the Kick louder a bit

for now it changes the velocity on both.
the only workaround I've found is to move the kick, edit velocity and put it back into place..

I'm wondering if there's a proper way to do it

thanks!

Hold SHIFT while you change the velocity. Only the selected note will be affected.

In addition to what RXTX suggests (there's usually more than one way to do shizz in Reason);

You could also highlight the note(s) in the edit window and use the 'Inspector' to set the velocity.
