NNXT and New Reason (HELP ME!!)
ok. i recently been messing with the nnxt lately and i'm a bit confused with the way things are taken place in reason 6 as far as with the new mix channels leading to the ssl and so on. I'm looking to see who could give me great advice about how to use the nnxt and route the channels from the nnxt to the ssl or to the 14:2? I hope someone could understand this and reply asap. Thanks!

If you create an NNXT in R6, it automatically creates an SSL channel and routes it appropriately.

If you are opening a file you created in an older version of Reason, the NNXT will be routed to a 14:2 and the output from the 14:2 will be routed to a mix channel on the SSL.

if you want to remove the 14:2, the easiest is to undo the connection from the NNXT to the 14:2, then take the cables going from the 14:2 output and connect them to the outputs on the NNXT.

If you have an NNXT already created and it is not routed, create a mix channel (under utilities) and then manually route the NNXT.

Using the SSL is far easier than you think once you get past the fear.

The SSL has its Channels in the mixer as expected. Because the Mixer doesn't flip it also has a Mix Channel rack in the Rack view. This flips so you can then handle any advanced wiring. A very elegant solution.

As Steve says there shouldn't be any issues though as inserting a synth will auto-create a Mix Channel in the Rack and SSL Mixer.

If you wanted to use Sub-Outs from NNXT or Kong then just Create a Mix Channel and wire it up.

Just go with it.

i'm not sure, but i suppose if you installed reason in non-english, then the folder name might be different.
