Unplug Balance in Windows 8

Will get the blue screen of death re-start occurs. Why?

Balance.sys shows up in crash log that is sent to Microsoft.

What drivers are you using? USB 2.0 or 3.0 port? USB hub or not? You might want to get into touch with support:

rwp908: Please send us a report by e-mail at the link in EnochLight's post.

That could be caused by a driver called USBfilter.sys (from ATI/AMD).

If that is the case for you, it might be solved by:

1. Download Autoruns from: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...rnals/bb963902
2. Start Autoruns, give admin permissions if it asks
3. Go to drivers tab, search for USBfilter.sys and untick it in the list
4. Reboot

Great that fixed my issue. I now run on USB 2.0 and does not crash.

Thanks,
Rob

This Rob.
In win 8 I do not see USBFilter.sys. I moved Balance to USB 2.0 from USB 3.0 and does not Crash. Happy Now!

Thanks,
Rob
