Question

Hi Im new here and im trying out the demo version of essentials my question is,
I have looked at live, logic etc etc, I have NO experience using electronic DAWS but have now been drawn to try out Reason Essentials All I want to do is create techno,EDM hardstyle and trance using samples, loops and creating some of my own sounds too.
Will reason essentials do what I need because it seems you have to jump through loops with the other DAWS and for some reason reason makes sense to me.

Thanks,
Cheers,
Gary

You will probably ultimately expand to R6+, but Essentials is a great start: https://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/index.cfm?fuseaction=get_article&article=compariso n-chart .

IMO Ableton Live, Reason are creativity tools Logic, Cubase, Studio One etc. are productivity ones, u can't create mainstream music only using the creativity ones they are only toys-helpesk to your mind, their main purpose is to quickly sketch your ideas, so you have to learn to both types

but Reason is the funniest one for sure :)
