new beats for blastin

hello, here are 3 originalbeats for you to comment on
eventually they'll be arranged into 8's and 16's
once i get the vocal booth set up and find some vocalists

the first one is an early halloween gift
the last one is more of a dance mix with vocal samples

thanks, j

I like the Thriller one! It's crying for some "BOOM" in there tho!

hello MasterTonyD,

thanks for the comments,
regarding the boom, my mixes don't seem to have the low end when played back through soundcloud...any ideas? i guess this is where technique enters into the equation...and the mixes are 48khz 16 bit wave files...they sound good through zoom player and vlc media player and when loaded up into DAW's, they just sound hollow in soundcloud...
take it easy, thanks, j

You can try adding some layers to your kick drum. Or add another kick on top.

That might be the problem. Some headphones enhance the bass, so what you're hearing is not a true version of your mix.

hello MasterTonyD,

i was hoping you'd say that...that would 'explain' why the mixes don't have much of a low end...i guess the best thing to do is just keep mixing it down til you get that sound...thanks a lot, j
