With new midi-out feature will I be able to play and control my stand-alone software?

I'll explain...I own native instruments 7 I want to upgrade to 9 ultimate. I use an Mbox 3 pro and I also have another USB interface that I use with native instruments as stand alone. My question is while using my USB interface for let's say Massive or FM8 I can use the stereo outs into my mbox pro as audio into reason for audio recording, will reason midi-out control those stand-alone software instruments? Thanks for viewing my post, I hope you have an answer

Simple answer is Yes as that is exactly what MIDI does.

More complex answer is that you could do what you are thinking of but are probably better off using a Virtual or Lookback MIDI Driver which lets you stream MIDI from one piece of software to another and if you have an audio interface that lets you share sound between applications then the real world takes no toll. Unless of course you want the "sound" of your interface.

I did not know that was possible. Is that virtual lookback available for Mac? sorry for my archaic knowledge on this topic. I really appreciate your answer. I would much rather not have to use my USB interface and just record right into reason without compromising sound quality. Thank you so much for replying to my thread
