Audio to Midi

I am really liking the look of Reason 7 and I am still enjoying Reason 6.5 and the rack extensions. One feature I have seen on Abelton that I would really LOVE to have in reason is the Audio to midi feature. This would awesome in creating remixes or working with samples.

Anyway, thanks for your hard work.

In case you dont know there is a RE that is called audio 2 CV in the chop so It may pop up as a RE .

I asked this as a joke the other day but it's a tool that is not very needed to make music because you can nust play the same notes from anything to anything if you can read music :D

but I cannot read music so I guess I like the idear :)

I have tried several of these audio to MIDI programs but have not found one to give good results. There is so much good MIDI on the internet I don't need to use a converter just to study professional composers' works. If you like to listen to interpretations of sheet music, import MIDI into Reason and make your own arrangement. I did this a couple of days ago with 'A Train' - not like a live Big Band concert but it stirs the memories. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I have done something similar with the midi in the past. I was just hoping to use it to find a key of certain songs I hear or to look at a certain chord as well. I am a guitar and Bass player and I can't read sheet music so sometimes I need help with the piano chords

At least I am not alone in not reading sheet music!
