Little MicroShift is anything but little. It adds massive width, enormous depth, and huge thickness to vocals, guitars, synths, whatever. Emulating three of the most sought after micro pitch-shifting sounds from two of the all time classic pieces of gear that made the technique famous (including one our designers created "wink"), Little MicroShift puts them right at your fingertips. All you have to do is find a code and this little slice of studio sweet sauce is yours.

MicroShift. Coming April 2013
This upgrade from Little MicroShift will take this classic technique to new levels with a unique and powerful SoundToys spin.

A Bit of History
The technique has been around since the early days of pitch-shifting, using devices like the Eventide H910(x2), H3000, the AMS DMX 15-80, and all the way to plug-ins like our own SoundBlender and PurePitch. The idea is fairly simple, small amounts of delay and or pitch-shift panned hard left and right. The formula's are all a bit different on all the devices, but the effect is essentially the same. It adds a width, space, depth, and thickness to vocal and background vocals. Of course it's been used on lots of other things but that's kind of where it started. It's also still a vital part of most mix engineers "bag of tricks".

Peace

Lets make it as free RE as well!

I'm not really clear what this is... is it an iPad app?

I don't think SoundToys have released any iOS apps. On the other hand, I'm out, regardless of how much I love their top quality plugins, but I don't see an iLok in my near future.

So then what is this? Not an RE apparently... a VST wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm completely unclear on what this product is. What's iLok? I thought that was a security dongle technology...?

SoundToys make VST/AU/RTAS/TDM plugins which are highly praised for their quality, however, they all require an iLok, which is a USB dongle similar to the IK.

As soon as they get 64bit vst up running I'll upgrade to Native bundle.
Top notch plugs.
Inside my computer, somewhere, there's an iLok sitting waiting...

So they're promoting a plugin which is not compatible with Reason, in the Reason forums? That's a little strange. Is it because they think everyone will want to use it since R7 has MIDI out?

This isn't SoundToys doing anything, the OP is MFXxx, a Reason user, who has decided to share the news (and code) with the Reason community, since many people here are not limited to using Reason only.

Oh! OK my misunderstanding then, it sounded like a promotional post by the company. :)
