A Song For My Uncle's Wedding

My Uncle is getting married this summer, and my mom is making a slideshow of them for the rehearsal dinner. They thought it would be cool if I made the music for the slideshow. I used the song Gone Gone Gone by Phillip Phillips (because it is a song they liked and is current), and did a cover of it using synths and guitars in reason. Any opinions would be greatly appriciated because I want the song to be as good as it can be for the wedding.

Sounds very Regal and Whimsical at the same time. Perfect for a slideshow and seems well suited for as Wedding. Nice arrangement, congrats. The mix is probably fine.

Thanks, I was sort of going for a more regal feel so I am glad that you saw this too.

It looks like I wont use this for the slideshow. The bride hated it. Oh well, I guess it is back to generic music...

for some reason, it took me five minutes to read your post. At first I thought you were saying the name "Eric" itself is generic. I then thought you were saying your is gen-Eric, which would not be a generic name at all. I then realized the true meaning, that your name is simply in the word generic, and it all made sense.
