Hi! I received my P6 a week ago. Been on business trip so have not been able to play with it too much. But! What time I have spent has be gold. I love it. I have watch every video I could find on youtube and even went though the manual pre-receiving it. Yet, sitting in front of it will be your best bet, as it was mine. Update the firmware before cracking into it. My only thing I wish it did is label the rotary nobs (which are in reason) on the nektar screen. Will email support and see if I'm missing anything. They're very helpful. Enjoy it!

Congrats on your Panorama! Check out various videos on Youtube via Nektar JunQuee and Brandon Peoples. There's a lot of content from various users.

Ive been considering getting a P4 for quite a while now but Im wondering if I can adjust to using the little onboard screen? If anyone has made that transition from mouse and monitor how hard was it to break old habits?

Ive watched some of brandon's videos and honestly the set up looks like a pain in the proverbial especially patch browsing/instrument creation.
Seems an awful lot simpler just grabbing the mouse and doing it on the monitor.

Having owned the P4 for the better part of 6+ months, I find that I am using the P4's screen to help augment my workflow. I still find myself using my dual-screen monitors and working in my old manner though.

Still, I use the P4's features enough to where it's still an invaluable addition.

I have had the P4 since September and let me say you made a great choice.

I found I settled right into the P4. I think if you have good knowledge of Reason itself, you'll find everything right at the tips of your fingers pretty much straight away.

I don't rely on it instead of my monitors - why would you, but you will find yourself moving less and less for the mouse the longer you play with it.

Its a brilliant bit of kit, it just needs a backlight on the faders and knobs and it would be perfect.

thanks. I'll be searching out all the youtube videos I can find. I did find a couple of videos about making sure you label your sequencer tracks and mixer tracks with the same name or the link can be broken. Which is good to know. Looking forward to getting it. By the way I made my purchase from Sweetwater. Nice bunch of folks there..

Yes! Sweetwater. I've been buying from a fellow there for 10 years. There's nothing better than coming home to find a cardboard box sitting there with Sweetwater tape rapped around it.

shame they didnt match Kong by having 16 pads. That was the deal breaker for me.

Yeah I have had my P4 for about a week now. Its sweet as Nektar and I'm not even using its full potential now. got mine from guitar center and it was banged up a little from shipping so getting a new one in this week. I have no problems getting around on it. The Pads are sweet. The should have gone with backlighting for the pads, sliders, and knobs since they are black with the black background color however.
