Tune selected for BBC radioplay! Awesome!

Have just received a phone call from Ollie Winiberg-Betell who presents the BBC Introducing show! He's going to be playing my newest song "Doomsaver" this Saturday from 8pm.

Well Chuffed is an understatement! I cant wait! :)

The station is 95.3FM Please tune in if you can!

Hi well done. Slick track by the way.

But how did you get discovered? Was the BBC rep just scouting on Soundcloud?

And erm, is it OK to ask how much you will get paid? Assuming you are receiving a fee ...

Thanks! :)

I uploaded a few tracks to the website a couple of days ago and got a surprise call from the presenter today! He initially wanted to play the other tracks but couldn't because of swearing!

I haven't registered any songs with PRS, PL etc so wont get any royalties or pay. Still, i think its cool just to get the tunes out there!

In the process of setting up a simple Reverbnation store just in case people want to buy it after hearing it! Might do it as a free download - what do you think?

I don't know what PRS and PL are and l don't know why that means you don't get any royalties or pay! But yeah, it will be nice as a free download, unless you want to put a whole album out, or an "LP".

PRS and PPL are just organisations that collect royalties from airplay etc! :)

Good work mate! And nice track!

Thanks Mayzon!

Don't hold me to this but think you can reclaim any PRS or PPL from a few years back. So if u got in touch with them now you'd still be able to claim for it later.
I'm pretty sure that's right.

Anyways, congrates mate!
And nice tune!

Squeeze some cash out of them. BBC charge £140 for annual licence fees after all and nobody even watches BBC anymore.
