Improved piano roll

I would like to see an improved piano roll for the next update (see for instace FL studio's one ).
When I use Reason's piano roll I feel like I'm going back 10 years!

Second that.

Reasons piano roll is now definitely one of its most lagging features.

Could you please more precise for those who don't know FL Studio???

Havnig not experienced many other piano rolls I'm quite comfortable with Reason's, however I'd like to see the piano graphic on the left actively highlight which notes are being played.

...and maybe a quick way to turn note previews on and off.

A swing grid would be nice. Drop in notes and make them snap to swing.

I agree but man FL got so many sampling options too that Reason is lacking, between slicex,Edison and directwave that are native FL plug ins really makes the NNXT look like poop lol. I mean I've had FL like 3 weeks and I'm still amazed at all the tools that come shipped with FL bundle.

My comparisons isn't with FL Studio, but here is what I'd like.

1. Note mute
2. "Paintbrush tool"
3. Change grid snap setting via key bindings.
4. Better zooming functionality
5. Curve drawing tools.
6. Cut notes with razor tool.
7. Glue tool.

Reason 7 has the same sequencer problems
I think Reason Sequencer can be improved into Reason 7. Actually you have to click one icon or key to draw note, another to move or re-size note and another to erase note. Other programs like Ableton or FL Studio can do all this things with no need to switch between icons or keys speeding up workflow.
On FL Studio or Ableton:

One left mouse click: draws a note.
One right click (or Double click on Ableton): erases a note.
Click over note and drag: moves a note.
Click over final edge of a note and drag: changes duration.

How about a hot key that temporarily disables/enables snap while you hold it down?

I think most of the guys who contributed to the post have clarified what were the enhancements I would hope for in a future update. I would add something which I find really handy which is having the note names inside the rectangles rapresenting the notes in the piano roll.It boosts your workflow especially if you are composing something in the piano roll rather than just trying out what sounds better. Also having a vocabulary of chords (and again Fl Studio has got that) would be very useful in my opinion.
Also.... would be handy to have direct access to 5:4 7:8 11:16 etc rhitmic figures rather thaan having to resort to the time scaling function from the tool window.
