Close a song without closing Reason

Add a menu entry "Close the song without closing Reason".

I don't understand why the last song close, closes Reason. And if I want to open a new file after that I have to restart Reason. It's annoying.

Or it can be "Close and then open".

It seems this is a Windows-only issue. On a Mac you can close all files without closing the program.

This post explains the reasoning behind this "issue"....

Good old Microsoft :D

Yeah I find this pretty annoying too tbh.

Pro Tools on windows allows you to simply close a session but keep Pro Tools open.

This was raised before, I seem to recall FailedMuso mentioned it, and it got listed in the Death thread.

IIRC the consensus was that Close should close the song and open the default songfile/template, while Exit and windor-bar "X" exited the program (in Sequencer window views).

I wasn't previously aware of scrag's post linked above, so perhaps even the close>open template option probably isn't feasible under SDI.

I'd just be happy if the default song wouldn't automatically close the moment you loaded another project.

It won't if you twiddle something.

I actually like that it gets closed if nothing if changes as it's less windows to accidently tab through. Now you've reminded me though it actually suggests that it would be perfectly possible for the template song to re-open on song close - Close would simply be the reverse of what Open (or MRD list) do already.

Yes, it's very stupid.

Agreed. Then there's the whole closing one screen not realizing the other is still open thing (if you have two screens and separate your rack window you'll know what I'm talking about.
