I need more bass!!

I'm using PH Electric Bass refills and love them. However, I use a lot of extended range instruments and need to be able to hit a low A on the Bass and need to get higher than what is offered as well.

Is there a way to get the range to extend in the NN-XT? I tried manipulating the LFO pitch, but that doesn't really have the desired effect. Also, I'm noticing that there is some automation that I normally like that is not working properly once I start messing with the parameters such as alternating notes to sound more realistic. I want this alternating effect to continue but I am not sure how to extend the range without messing this up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm running an iMac with plenty of computing power.

Hi

Generally a good "real" instrument ReFill will be set up to play only the range of the instrument (or what will work anyway).

This is not too hard to change as the Key Range or Key Zone of an instrument is right there in NN-XT above the keyboard in the LCD screen. Find & Click on the lowest sample in the patch and see where there is a range shown with grab handles above the little keyboard. Drag the lowest lower and now the instrument will play below (I'm assuming) E. Not quite 'drop' tuning but will get you through.

You may need to consider changing you voicing however if you are emulating real world performances as you have just crossed that line.

Search for "NN-XT Sampler : Working with Key Ranges" in the Reason Help.

This will illustrate how to extend the samples beyond the current mapped range.
