Awesome Instrumental work

and really interesting harmonic progressions. what is your musical background?
you seem to have a really great grip on orchestration.

you have certainly pushed the boundaries of reason. proves that it isn't only for beats and synths!

would be awesome if a realy orchestra were to play this!

the slow paced bit is georgeous, by the way. totally my cup of tea...

A new symphonist is born...

:Right from the beginning of this marvelous track I saw the sail contest, Volvo Ocean Race, right for my eyes. Lonely boats struggeling through numberless nautic miles and among nameless storms of the roaring fourties. I saw changes in weather. Windfall to totally still, hot and shiny sea landscapes, jumpin dolphines and sun glitterings all over. Even the smell and the taste of oceanic salt came to me. The melody lines, the orchestration, the tempo variables and the dramtic changes communicates directly to my imagination.

Awesome work Stompp!

cheers
bonamici :)

Hey Stompp,

Beautiful,
*claps*
Thats some amazing work you've done on this one,
you really excell at these filmscores of yours, don't get me wrong, all of your work never lets us down, but wow!!!!!
Love the oboe in this (i just like woodwinds though!) and the first violin (cello? i dunno) piece to come in sounds like a build up to the news!! (plz don't take that the wrong way) heh!
You ever thought of going in to writing orchestral pieces? could have a good future there.......

Re: "WAIT!? Another damn fine filmscore?"

Yup, very oppulent and with beautiful harmonic shapes. I'm like itching to give it more depth...I think the effect work could be a bit more aggressive...as in more depth to different layers. The strings sometimes appear a bit flat...roomless, which makes them a bit pasty. But man, Stompp, M'man....I'm like drumming on Your shoulders...sweet work! 8)

I also believe that the very first entry is musically understating the following ingenuity. If that makes any sense?!? Needs a bit more playing around with level swells within the strings....eeeh...right after the entry...( measure 9+ )....some notes come in apruptly that reveal the sythetic nature a bit too much....swell in the coming note at ( 10:02:01 ....track 21...E3 ...bring it up to E4 and lower velocity to minimum( 40 or less) try it...it's curious...makes it a bit shier..hmmm...shy-er...weired word...how'bout more shy...builds up interstingly)

WOW...dude, You know....a fun piece of work!
Congratulations....

Taron
